Hot-Crimping technology
Our hot-crimping process is used in the field of medicine, automotive (hybrid and electric vehicles) as well as in motor and generator production.
To be able to react to all the different versions and requirements, STRUNK offers a special technology in combination with flexible resistance welding systems that can connect magnet wires in a reliable process by material locking without removing the insulation first. This technology makes production possible even for variants only produced in batches of 1.
In addition, even flexible copper wires with large cross-sections can easily be welded to standard pipe eyelets.
In order to produce reliable and high-quality connections according to your specifications, we use a special mechanical design for our welding modules and electrode holders. We calculate and construct the plants individually so that the necessary pressure and current is released in as short a welding time as possible. In combination with our intelligent power components as well as PC welding current control units, our process evaporates the insulation of each individual enamelled copper wire without affecting the copper in any way. The evaporated enamel escapes and the insulation vapours are removed by an extraction unit. All the connections have excellent mechanical and electrical properties. Non-contacted individual wires, slip effects or later failure through oxidation on account of contact resistance, temperature, vibration and environmental influences are thus a thing of the past.
